Oberteuringen, May 4, 2026 – IHSE GmbH is expanding its leadership team. Effective May 1, 2026, Dr. Thomas Niessen has joined as CEO and Managing Director, forming the executive management together with Frank Breitenfelder, who has served as CFO and Managing Director since April 2025. In this constellation, IHSE continues its ongoing development while purposefully complementing existing structures with new momentum.
With Dr. Thomas Niessen, IHSE gains an experienced executive with extensive international management and growth expertise in technology companies. As CEO, he is responsible for the company’s sales and technical divisions and will play a key role in shaping its strategic direction while further strengthening IHSE’s international market position.
Dr. Thomas Niessen brings more than 25 years of experience in globally operating technology and industrial companies. His career includes leadership positions at Siemens, TE Connectivity, R. Stahl, and Belden, with a strong focus on critical infrastructure and industrial applications. Most recently, at Belden, he held international leadership responsibilities in portfolio management as well as research and development. He also served as managing director of several subsidiaries and acquisitions. His areas of expertise include portfolio and innovation management, business development, change management, and organizational development.

As CFO and Managing Director, Frank Breitenfelder is responsible for the company’s commercial, operational, and administrative functions. Since joining in April 2025, he has made a significant contribution to stabilizing, strengthening, and professionalizing IHSE’s structures, thereby creating key foundations for its continued development.
He has more than 20 years of experience in internationally active companies in industrial and technological environments. Prior to joining IHSE, he served as CFO of the hasenkamp Group and as Managing Director of the central management company within an internationally operating logistics and transportation group. His previous roles also include CFO and finance leadership roles at companies such as Camfil, Jenoptik, and LSG Sky Chefs. His areas of expertise include transformation, turnaround management, operational and financial management, and structural development.
