Instant CPU access even if connecting from consoles with different keyboards or mice
With the transparent HID mode, IHSE already offers best performance for keyboard / mouse extension point-to-point or in a homogeneous matrix setup of similar devices. Different keyboards or mice are treated according to their device description. However, because of the computer's operating system, this can result in a delayed access when connecting to a CPU from consoles with different keyboards or mice, because the OS has to dismount the old and remount the new device.
With the new HID Ghosting mode, the user can pre-program his preferred keyboard / mouse information into the CPU unit. Different keyboards and mice are then treated according to the reference devices, resulting in instant CPU access even if connecting from consoles with different keyboards or mice.
