IHSE announced first sale of 576 KVM matrix at IBC 2015
IHSE, a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced KVM systems, announced the sale of the first 576 port Draco tera KVM matrix switch (K480-576) at the IBC show, in a deal with an estimated value of $500,000.

IHSE’s K480-576 is the first 576 port non-blocking KVM matrix switch in one frame, providing a high performance, modular and flexible KVM switching system for 24/7 distribution of high resolution Keyboard, Video, Mouse (KVM) signals.
The customer who ordered the K480-576 is an undisclosed major broadcaster in the US. A forthcoming studio upgrade requires the expansion of an existing installation. The new 576 port Draco tera KVM matrix switch provides a hybrid (Cat X and fiber) KVM infrastructure with no performance limitations. It offers Mix & Match functionality to allow switching freely between Cat X extenders and fiber optic extenders.
“The fully-redundant system architecture of the Draco tera including fully-redundant power and hot swappable modules will give us the biggest flexibility in switching with full service and field upgrades without interruption of signal flow. Due to the full compatibility of the new Draco tera 576 and our existing infrastructure we expect the integration to be rapid and smoothly”, the customer said.
Having the K480-576 integrated into the studio, the matrix switch will work smoothly in the background managing all KVM switching operation. Users will feel no difference and can continue to instantly access any connected CPU at their personal workstation. The installation is scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2016, which is a very challenging.
